Narrative Short Film
Scripted fiction. Character, conflict, resolution. Festival-track production standards, DCP-ready output from day one.
Eknetra Productions builds festival-tier short films from the ground up — script development, principal photography, post-production, DCP mastering and festival strategy. Whether you're an independent filmmaker with a screenplay, a brand funding narrative content, or a debut director finding your language — we make it real.
From festival-circuit narratives to branded content to experimental gallery works — we build the production around what your story demands.
Scripted fiction. Character, conflict, resolution. Festival-track production standards, DCP-ready output from day one.
Non-linear, visual poetry, abstract storytelling. Gallery and installation-ready format. Language without grammar — only sensation.
Brand-funded narrative with natural integration. Content marketing that audiences actually watch — and share — long after the campaign ends.
First-time director support. Full production mentorship alongside a professional crew. Your vision. Our infrastructure. Your name in the credits.
Episodic short-form connected by theme, character or world. Built for YouTube, OTT or branded content series with a unified visual identity.
"The last road back is the one you never left."
A son returns to his ancestral village after 12 years of silence — only to find that the house, the land and the family's story of him have been rewritten.
"Time does not pass. Time accumulates."
A visual poem constructed from memory fragments — archival textures, found sound and original score layered over images of water, migration and belonging.
"A second season always begins before the first is done."
A brand-funded short following a third-generation spice farmer navigating the tension between tradition and climate uncertainty.
"The night carries the answer, if you are willing to listen."
A portrait of a night-shift nurse in Mumbai navigating care, exhaustion and hope across the city's silent hours.
Seven phases. One continuous process. We stay in the room from development to distribution — so nothing falls between the cracks.
Screenplay analysis, story notes, table reads, director's vision alignment. We develop the script alongside you if needed — sharpening structure without flattening your voice.
Casting calls, auditions, location scouting, production design, costume & props, production design board. The world of the film is built before a single frame is shot.
Actor workshops, blocking rehearsals with director, script run-throughs, technical recce. The gap between pre-production and principal photography where most films either find their footing — or lose it.
Full professional crew, multi-day shoot. Lighting, sound, continuity, on-set DIT. Every day begins with a briefing and ends with a wrap report. The images your script deserved.
Offline edit, online edit, colour grade, sound design, foley, original score, VFX if needed. This is where the film stops being footage and starts being a film. The longest, most essential phase.
DCP mastering, EPK (Electronic Press Kit) creation, festival calendar mapping, submission management. We know submission windows, eligibility quirks and the programmers who run each circuit. Your film gets in front of the right eyes.
OTT platform pitch, YouTube premiere planning, screening event logistics, press release. A film without an audience is a private document. We make sure yours is seen.
Timelines are indicative and vary by project scope. A micro-budget debut film may move through all phases in 8 weeks. A festival-tier production with original score and VFX may run 16 weeks or more. We align the timeline to your story — and your deadline.
We don't just produce films. We build the conditions for great films to get made — and then found.
We know the circuit: MIFF, IFFK, IFFI, KASHISH, Cannes Shorts, IDFA, BAFTA shorts. DCP-ready from day one. Your film enters the room that matters.
Your story. Your vision. We bring the infrastructure — you bring the artistry. Our crew serves your creative direction, not the other way around.
Script to screen. Development to distribution. We handle every stage so you can focus on the work that matters — making something true.
Discounted rates, mentorship access and industry intros for debut filmmakers making their first professional short. New voices need good rooms.
The short film is the most democratic form in cinema — it belongs equally to the festival circuit, the gallery wall, the brand campaign and the debut reel. We work with every type of client who has a story short enough to be sharp, and long enough to be true.
You come with the story. We come with the crew, the locations, the post-production pipeline and the festival network. The work stays yours.
Director-firstBranded short films that audiences watch voluntarily — because the story is worth watching. Integration that serves the narrative rather than interrupting it.
